Glacier Hearing Services employs only Audiologists as the main providers. When deciding on who you would like to trust with your hearing health, you might be interested in the difference between a hearing aid dispenser and an Audiologist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Audiologist has obtained their Bachelors Degree and then achieved a Master or Doctorate degree in Audiology. At a minimum, they have pursued 6 to 7 years of higher education. In addition, in order to obtain their certification through ASHA or the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. In order to obtain this certification, they had to complete an addition years training of clinical competence by practicing Audiology under a certified Audiologists supervision. All of our Audiologists have obtained this certification. They are versed in dispensing, technology, evaluation, and especially the medical component of hearing loss. This allows patients to feel confident that their hearing loss is being addressed by a medical professional. All of our Audiologists are licensed by the State of Montana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the State of Montana, a hearing aid dispenser has no education requirements. They must pass a jurisprudence exam and complete 1000 hours of training as well as pass a practical exam.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
